Wayne Wallace is an award-winning photographer, documentary film editor, and the founder of Ace Digital Productions. He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Documentary Film Editing — and has spent over twenty years studying what makes a story move people.
"Most businesses lead with their results. I'm interested in everything that happened before them — the process, the tension, the moments that actually build trust."
Before founding Ace Digital Productions, Wayne worked in software engineering — doing 3D modeling and programming at Autodesk. That technical foundation gave him a precision and structural thinking that shows up in every edit he makes today.
When he shifted into visual storytelling, he didn't just pick up a camera. He studied the craft at the graduate level — earning an MFA in Documentary Film Editing and developing a cinematic, story-first methodology that now defines everything Ace Digital Productions produces.
Today his work spans documentary-style brand films, portrait photography, and the Before the Results podcast — all built around the same core belief: the story behind the work is more powerful than the result people see.
An MFA in Documentary Film Editing isn't common in the brand video world. It means every project Wayne touches is shaped by the same principles that define great documentary cinema — structure, tension, pacing, and emotional truth.
Graduate-level study in narrative documentary structure, pacing, and the emotional mechanics of non-fiction storytelling.
